Architecture of Thought is a research initiative founded by Dr. Robert Brown that explores how reactions, awareness, and decisions unfold in real situations. The initiative proposes a framework for examining the structure and timing of human response, particularly what occurs in the Response Interval, the moment between an initial reaction and a deliberate response.Through a brief daily reflection process, participants document observations from moments in their day. The process typically takes about one minute per day.The purpose of the study is to observe how reactions, awareness, and responses appear over time without attempting to influence behavior. As participation expands, Architecture of Thought seeks to identify whether consistent patterns emerge in how individuals experience reactions, awareness, and chosen responses across everyday situations.Early observational studies are currently underway. Additional rounds of participation are currently being conducted as the framework continues to develop.
